Xwget

xWget is a program for downloading files via HTTP & FTP, and is included in Puppy. It is a graphical interface for Wget (a command line program accessed directly via the terminal).

Using Xwget

Xwget can be accessed via the Menu > Internet. When started you'll see a window with basic instructions and below 2 text boxes to fill.

• In the Enter Address, put the link of the file you want to download.
• In the Enter Directory, put the location on your computer where you want to save the file (or just leave it blank to save to the root directory).
• Click Download File.
• When Wget is downloading, a text window will be open, showing what's happening.
• Leave this window open until your download has finished.
