In the
July 15, 2006 meeting, it was suggested that potential users tend to shy away from any particular OS if they hear the word "Linux". Hence, using
PuppyOS to refer to Puppy Linux may be helpful to users in general.
However, Barry Kauler, creator of Puppy GNU/Linux, has been using the term
PuppyOS for months already, such as in his new sites
http://puppyos.com∞ and
http://puppyos.net∞ . -
