Changing the time (in lower left-hand corner)
This isn't strictly a bug, but many people prefer a 12-hour time display over a 24-hour (military) time display.
- Open Rox
- Make sure show hidden is enabled
- Click on .icewm (full path is /root/.icewm)
- Click on preferences file (full path is /root/.icewm/preferences)
- Search for #TimeFormat="%H:%M"
- Change it to TimeFormat="%I:%M"
- Make sure your lines don't have a "#" at the beginning! this makes the line a comment
- Restart Icewm by going to menu -> logout -> retstart icewm
- You should now have a 12-hour display in the bottom right corner. Yay!

RC1
- when changing to jwm the utilities, multimedia amd fun menu icons are set too large, see above Fixed. This is due to inadvertantly selecting too large an icon for the menu item. Icewm compensates for the oversize, but JWM doesn't. I will revisit the affected menus and fix.
- clock is two hours ahead of my local time (so an improvement) Set timezone after setting locale. Only choice for Locale is currently US or AU, unless you download others and I'm not sure that the download link is working - outside of our control (I think?)
- Icon arrangement still does not place properly at my res 1024 x 1280. This is something to do with Rox. Do we have a solution? (it came up before and was solved)
- gxine only playing mpegs, avi and mov bot playing Fixed. Missing xine lib installed for Final release.
From Lobster
- clock is not picking up correct time Timezone must be set or clock will be at Sydney (+10) times.
- Whodo has released Firefox with his wiki setting and password - be nice guys - that is a security breach but only for Warren :) Corrected in working copy but I can't help with those already downloaded *sigh* Details, details, details...why must I always screw up on details?
- Icon arrangement does not place properly at my res right-click on icon and unlock. Icons will then replace properly when changing res. Default res for Puppy 2.15CE was set at 1024x768 as the most common resolution for desktops and laptops. Older hardware probably needs 800x600 or less. Still testing.
- When changing to jwm - we have no easy way from menu to return to jwm - get rid of JWM? One option, yes. Waiting to see how XDG pans out before making a recommendation to the community for consideration. Might consider Xfce instead?
- A link posted in GAIM does not link to Firefox. Is the default browser link being used? Yet another missed detail. Mia culpa. Nathan et al pointed it out on the forum and I have adjusted the working copy for the next release.
