Hello, my name is Maluvia, and I am a Puppy enthusiast.
I am also a very interested in mini/micro operating systems, embedded systems, and web operating systems (MicroOS,WebOS).
I use FreeDOS, am playing with MenuetOS and KolibriOS, and trying out eyeOS, and YouOS.
I am also a big fan of the Web2.0 initiative and am a proud member of LinuxChix

I discovered Puppy about 3 years ago while first trying to convert from Windows to Linux, and being unable to find a distro which was remotely stable on the hardware I was using.
Puppy not only worked the best, but it was so simple and transparent in design and concept - it was love at first bite. :-)

Unfortunately, due to mysterious hardware problems, I was unable to get the new 64-bit 'turbo-charged' PC I had just built to finally become functional and stable until last week, and was similarly unable to go online in Puppy on my more recently acquired laptop due to stubborn issues with the integrated modem and ethernet cards - which I was also unable to clear up until last week.
The amazing thing was, that even with all the system instabilities to overcome, Puppy just dog-gonned worked! :-)
Puppy kept my faith in Linux going, and we soldiered on until achieving victory over the hardware demons which plagued us. ;-)
I love Puppy Linux, and I deeply appreciate Barry Kauler for creating it - I am probably the biggest Puppy fan there is.

I have created this page to share a Puppy derivative I am working on called ZeN.
I conceived the idea for this project - and half-finished it - a year ago, but was unable to get back to work on it until now.
ZeN was originally motivated by the desire to create a very simple and accessible version of Linux for my husband to use for his pro-audio work, but has since evolved into 2 versions:

ZeN is my conception of the perfect Linux - simple, uncluttered, super-fast, rock-solid stable, yet extremely powerful - an austere and elegant Linux for power users.

ZenAudio is basically ZeN, but with all the pro-audio tools required for a musician to do serious recording and mastering, and with apps that are not related to that function left out - to keep it fast and keep latency to an absolute minimum.
More description of the concepts, to-do lists, etc. will be on the respective project pages.

I also want to say that I love the Puppy community - such a really nice group of friendly and supportive contributers and users!
This is a wonderful place to be, and I am pleased to see the community thriving and continuing to grow.
-Peace

(And finally, this page would not be complete without a few of our Pup Pictures:) :-)
