"I propose that 2.15 be a "consolidation" release, especially to include the excellent work that Dougal and Rarsa have been doing with various scripts. In fact, instead of doing a 2.14CE, why not make it a 2.15CE and I'll host it on ibiblio, as well as all the required PET packages?
In other words, Barry recognizes the community has contributed many useful features and additions to improve upon puppy that he is willing to implement and make 2.15 "your" release.

Size of the iso is 120Mb includes a whole stack of multimedia stuff (with no squash file - hence ISO size) 86Mb for Puppy 2.15 core 17Mb for zdrv_215.sfs, and the balance is multimedia stuff

Office Edition is on track
NathanF has built the graphics squash file and the Open Office squash file which is done. I
PkaG only tweaked & added/upgraded a couple of things on the pgs_215.sfs.
Pizzasgood is building the web squash file, with Firefox, Thunderbird, Java and Flash for Office version
"I'm wondering about the schedule for 2.15CE. The guys working on that will probably be thinking that they want all of the above in their 2.15CE release.... the builds that I am creating are "2.15", and I can bring it to the alpha stage soon and you could sync with that, but that would be a step back perhaps as you would then have to bring out another 2.15CE-alpha. Or, if you plan to release 2.15CE-final soon, you could go ahead with that and I'll rename mine as 2.16 and will bring out an alpha at a more leasurely pace, sometime after your 2.15CE is released." - The Latest Standard & Office Editions of Beta1 are both available for Download. Please help mirror the iso's and make us aware of mirrors not on the download page.
- Beta has Opera as default Browser and 104MB as download size (84Mb pup_215.sfs and 20Mb zdrv_215.sfs)
Release Schedule
24 February - Alpha release based on 2.14 core. Designed to let members of the community SEE and TOUCH what could be the next version.
10 March - Beta release 1, based on 2.15 core as it stands at that point. No new apps planned, but a number of new scripts for ease of use. A reduced version based on community feedback for things like wallpapers, themes, icons, applications, etc.
24 March -
Beta2/RC1, based on latest 2.15 core snapshot, with bug fixes and software updates received in the interim.
7 April - RC2/Final, depending on development progress to date.
14 April - Final, depending on development progress to date.
