Bugs 1.0.7

Get the bugfixes for Puppy Linux 1.0.7.

The LiveCD (and some other installs) will not boot in less than 64MB if there is no swap space, due to a bug in the init script. The only workarounds are provide more ram, provide swap space, patch the init script, or use an HDoption-2 install.

Gujin 1.2 boot loader does not work with Puppy 1.0.7; there is a bug in filesystem handling. DOS boot loaders Gujin 0.9, Linld and Grub for DOS all work. Linld seems like the simplest and fastest for booting from a hard drive without touching the MBR.

If you are frustrated that Gdmap seems hard to get started actually doing something useful, the command you want is something like:
gdmap -f /
which can be typed on the command line, or you can change the jwm script to do this when you click on the desktop menu item.

CAPS LOCK Key Abnormalities
Problem: Must press [Caps Lock] on PS/2 keyboards multiple times to get it to switch off. [Scroll Lock] also responds.
Probable cause: "something to do with the X keyboard extension (xkb)"
Applies to Versions: at least 1.0.4-1.0.7
(This problem seems to be limited to Xvesa video mode. Starting with Puppy 1.0.7, Xorg video is included as a standard option, and does not have this problem.)
